Built in 1909 originally as a medieval watch tower, the villa has undergone several renovations and most recently by renowned architect Andrea Meirana. An elegant mixture of Liberty style, and Scandinavian and Japanese is dominant in Villa Martino, tastefully designed by Singapore-based interior designer, Albano Daminato.

With no immediate neighbors, the villa is the perfect place to escape and rewind. Complete privacy on a sprawling 4.5 acres of well manicured alpine gardens, offering an unparalleled level of peace and tranquillity. Children can also enjoy a treehouse, playground and even a life-sized firetruck.

The interiors of the villa features a combination of modern design and a 100 year old history of carefully restored frescoes. It has 3 floors and a basement. With a total of 1231m2 of living space, it features 9 bedrooms with 7 bathrooms. The living room has a surround sound system and comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped and Chef services also at disposal. Also included are a dining room, study room, media room, a bar, 2 roof terraces. The closest village of Pigra is a few minutes walk from the villa and is the perfect base for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts. Pigra has a couple of restaurants and a tennis court in addition to its own cable car station that runs to the lakeside village of Argegno below. Argegno is only a few minutes drive and has numerous restaurants to discover as well as a scenic ferry station. The villa's own boat can also be rented ideal for exploring all that Lake Como has to offer. Villa Martino is easily accessible from Italy and Switzerland's international aiports. It is is a 75 minute drive from Milan Malpensa International Airport and 60 minutes from Lugano International Airport
