Villa Bima, Bali, Indonesia, private pool, staff, 2 bedrooms, 4 persons

Villa Bima is a two-bedroom villa of the luxurious Saba Villas Collection. Saba embraces seclusion, relaxation and comfort within a tranquil setting.

Surrounded by terraced rice paddies near Berawa Beach on Bali’s south-west coast, Saba is less than 10 minutes from the heart of Seminyak. This exclusive enclave comprises five independent, but inter-connectable one- and two-bedroom private villas, providing a total of nine large bedrooms, garden bathrooms, open-sided living and dining pavilions, well-equipped kitchens, swimming pools, lush tropical gardens and unique local artwork.

All villas are fully staffed and include a professional chef and two cooks, who create delicious dishes from a central staff kitchen. Guests also have full, complimentary access to the nearby Canggu Club.

As well as its two spacious ensuite bedrooms, Villa Bima features a large air-conditioned dining room and integrated, well-equipped, modern kitchen. Connected to the dining room via a covered walkway is the beautiful, open-sided living pavilion. The living pavilion is positioned beside the 15-metre pool set within the well-tended tropical gardens. At the far end of the pool is a shady, comfortable bale.

Villa Bima’s master bedroom, furnished with a king-size bed and writing desk, has double doors opening onto the garden, ensuring that it is wonderfully light and airy. The second bedroom, which overlooks a neat courtyard, has twin beds which can also be made up as a kings. Both rooms are equipped with TV screens and the master bedroom with a hard drive media player (pre-loaded with a huge collection of movies and TV series). Large open-air ensuite bathrooms feature tubs and rain showers.

Villa Bima’s living area overlooks a flourishing tropical garden offering guests a true taste of tropical Bali living. Unwind poolside on the loungers or relax on the deeply cushioned sofa, which can comfortably seat ten guests, below the pavilion’s soaring traditionally crafted roof. Living areas are fitted with iPod speakers, and an iPod loaded with music to suit all tastes is available on request, making this the ideal spot to catch up with friends, read a book or enjoy cocktails and canapés at sunset.

A large, sliding wall panel separates Bima from the other master villa, Yudhistira. Guests who book both villas can request the staff to open the wall panel to provide a huge garden area with the two swimming pools – ideal for family groups requiring four bedrooms and plenty of space for the children to have fun. This open set-up also lends itself to weddings and birthday parties.

Notes of the Landlord

As part of the Saba Villas, Villa Bima offers a wide range of exclusive services, transforming your holidays in an indulging experience for all your senses:

Dining

Saba’s personal chef and his two cooks are at your service to prepare complimentary daily breakfast, plus lunch and dinner choices from an extensive and competitively priced menu. Beyond regular mealtimes our butlers are able to prepare snacks, giving 24-hour room service.

Our philosophy is to provide guests with restaurant-quality food at very reasonable prices. Chef Made is internationally trained and has worked for a number of 5-star hotels around the world. Saba’s kitchen uses the freshest produce available, and with a little advance notice our chefs are more than happy to prepare special requests and special-event meals ranging from a candle-lit, poolside dinner for two to a casual barbecue or a banquet set up in the garden. Apart from individual villa kitchen facilities, there is also a professional staff kitchen on site to cater for large parties and groups.

SABA also holds one-on-one cooking classes for guests who wish to learn more about Balinese, Indonesian and Chinese cuisine.

SABA has an internationally accredited Food Safety Management system (HACCP – “Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point” Food Safety Program to ISO 22000 standard), a unique feature in Indonesia.

This certification meets all requirements of the Food Safety Australia and NZ (FSANZ) Code.

Training and Auditing was developed by former Chef Peter Bulluss (RABQSA Certificate no.121945) and ensures all food and beverages prepared and served in Saba are of exceptional quality and minimise to as low as reasonably practical, any potential health problems.

Spa in Canggu, Bali

Feel like a body scrub or massage? Just ask our staff to bring the spa to you! We can recommend deluxe treatments carried out in the privacy of your own villa by fully trained therapists from a reputable local spa (extra charges will apply). Here’s a sample of what’s on the menu:

Massage

Release built up tension with a traditional Balinese massage. Using a combination of gentle stretches, acupressure and aromatherapy oils to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and energy around your body, you will feel totally relaxed in no time.

Foot reflexology

Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes tension is relieved and circulation improved leaving you feeling balanced.

Body scrub

A full body scrub will exfoliate and hydrate your skin leaving it soft and smooth. A rejuvenating scrub combines an abrasive material such as salt, coffee, rice bran or pecan hulls with essential oils to remove any impurities and make your skin glow.

Manicure/pedicure

Our hands and feet work hard for us every day but rarely get the attention they deserve. Treat them to a manicure or pedicure, which usually comes with the added bonus of a quick hand or foot massage.

Staff

One of the greatest advantages of staying in a villa is the personalised service provided by dedicated staff. Saba’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.

Villa Manager

Saba’s friendly manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. His job is to oversee and coordinate the staff and property and to assist guests during their stay. He is supported by an assistant manager.

Chef

The villa’s skilled private chef and his two cooks will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements. The chef also offers private cookery classes in Indonesian and Chinese cuisine.

Butlers

A team of staff called Butlers look after daily housekeeping, domestic duties and serving of food and drinks. These butlers take care of guests’ requests 24 hours per day.

Garden and pool

Gardeners maintain Saba’s gardens and swimming pools daily.

Maintenance

Full time maintenance man to provide immediate attention to any maintenance.

Driver

A car and driver is available on request and may be arranged at a special discounted rate.

Security

Saba is provided with 24-hour security and CCTV monitoring.

The Canggu Club

As well as having access to their own exclusive leisure facilities at the villa, guests also benefit from complimentary guest membership at Bali’s premier private members club, The Canggu Club, for the duration of their stay.

This family-orientated club luxuriates across 4,000 square metres of land in amongst the picturesque rice fields of Canggu. Upgraded in 2014, sporting facilities at the club are world-class and include a large, well-equipped gym with separate studios for aerobics, (spinning) bicycles and boxing, as well as a 25-metre swimming pool, a floodlit professionally turfed sports field, a tennis centre with three undercover tennis courts and an indoor multi-sports hall for basketball and badminton.

The Cubby House Kids Club* for 2-12 year olds offers a huge range of quality toys and activities to keep children entertained for hours, whilst the slides at the all-new Splash Water Park, set amidst the club’s lush tropical gardens, take fun to a whole new level. Kids will also love the Bounce Trampoline Centre*, and can work on their fitness at the Junior Sports Academy* (3-17 year olds), which offers football, swimming, gymnastics, dance and tennis lessons. For family fun, make a booking at Strike Ten Pin Bowling*.

You’ll also find a library at the club’s Business Centre and a choice of relaxing wining and dining venues including The Veranda Restaurant and The Club Sports Bar. At the Body Temple Spa, the decadent range of treatments includes facials, massages, nail services and waxing.

Entry restrictions may apply so please ask your villa manager, who will also provide you with a membership card. For more information, visit The Canggu Club website.

* Only these facilities incur a fee for use/entry

Children at Saba

The family friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want. Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus – and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.

Saba is a great villa for families, especially when booking more than one villa: with the clever sliding wall panels pulled back, children have the freedom to run safely between the properties and play in each others’ gardens and pools. A pool fence is also available, at extra charge, allowing peace of mind for parents with younger children.

The team of friendly staff at Saba will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).

Although the equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies with ease, staff will happily do this for you – just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the Villa Manager or Chef and they will take care of the rest. Pancakes by the pool for breakfast? Toasties for tea? No problem. The Chef can customise all meals to suit children’s taste buds.

Don’t worry about packing all that cumbersome kids’ equipment for your stay. Just let us know what you need, and anything we don’t have in-house (villa facilities include a baby cot, highchair, booster seat, DVDs and games) we can hire on your behalf.

And when the excitement of exploring the villa starts to wear off, check out our Things to do page – there’s plenty in the area to keep kids of all ages amused throughout the holiday, particularly the Canggu Club.
