Villa Castellani is located in the center of a Wine Estate, situated in the renowned area of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO HERITAGE SITE. This is Tuscany, tried and true, and is the perfect location as your base to visit this truly incredible part of Italy. Perfect for wine tasting in the owners Winery or to discover the surrounding hills and idyllic villages, lounging poolside for a true retreat and an authentic Tuscan experience.

The Villa can host up to 20 people in 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.

The main villa is divided in a north and a south wing.

The North Wing
 

The North Wing has the main living room and dining room (90mq) a fully equipped modern kitchen on the ground floor. Large picture window doors open onto the garden where guests can enjoy an evening cocktail or read a book while looking out to an incomparable glimpse of Montalcino.

A large covered patio, just next to the living room and kitchen is set up for dining.

On the first floor the north wing has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms:

Yellow room: king size bedroom with air conditioning and ceiling fan. Ensuite bathroom with shower.

Blu room:  14,70 square meters. King-size bedroom with air conditioning and ceiling fan. The room can be arranged as double bedroom. Bathroom with shower next door, no window, 7.3 square meters.

Green room: 19 square meters. King size bedroom with air conditioning and ceiling fan. Bathroom with shower next door,  5,5 square meters.

Kids room: 14 square meters. 2 single beds, 190x90, with air conditioning and ceiling fan. Shared bathroom with green room next door.

The Southern Wing


The Southern Wing - only first floor - has an amazing Tuscan atmosphere with 3/4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Red room:  15 square meters, 2 single beds, 90 x 190, can be arranged as a king size bedroom, with air conditioning and ceiling fan, mosquito nets at the window. Bathroom with bathtub next door, 7,8 square meters.

Black room: 16 square meters. King size bedroom with air conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito nets at the window. Bathroom with shower, 6,6 square meters.

Canopy bedroom: 15 square meters. Queen size canopy bedroom with air conditioning and ceiling fan. Ensuite bathroom with shower, 7,7 square meters.

Second Kids room:  bedroom and dressing area for the Canopy bedroom, 13 square meters. 2 single beds, 190x90 meters, ceiling fan, no air conditioning. Bathroom is shared with the Canopy bedroom. 

Furthermore the Southern Wing offers a large living room with a fireplace and a large Tuscan style kitchen.

The Guest House


A Guest House full of charm completes the Borgo. Its upper floor is designed as a loft with a wonderful bedroom with air conditioning - 28 square meters - and ensuite bathroom with shower.

On the ground floor there is a kitchen and a beautiful living room with a stone and brick fireplace which creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. Furthermore there is a double bedroom - 25 square meters - with a bathroom with shower, 4 square meters. From the bedroom you enjoy a special view to the olive grove and pool, just situated below the cottage.

Within the property you enjoy a beautiful private swimming pool in the center of the garden with a unique view of the valley overlooking the olive grove. 

 

An in-villa dining service or a self-made barbecue night can be arranged and may be the perfect end of the day while enjoying an aperitivo with a lovely glass of wine. Table Tennis and Basketball nets are available to add to your evening enjoyment.

The Villa is part of a large Estate, which stretches for over 600 hectares between Montalcino and Siena. The entire farm upholds organic agricultural methods, from the 8 hectares of planted vineyards, cereal and grain production to the D.O.P extra virgin olive oil. The primary objective of the owners is to keep pace with the times, while protecting the flavor and tradition of the past in all its aspects.

The estate is situated in the renowned area of the Orcia Valley, a UNESCO recognized historical landmark. Just 16 miles from Siena and 12 miles from Montepulciano this renewed Villa is the perfect spot for a true Tuscan experience or even an unforgettable yoga retreat. Buonconvento is the nearest village, just 2 miles away, offering all the necessary services, as well as some excellent restaurants.

The prices stated in the price list are valid for an occupancy of the villa for up to 14 people without use of the cottage. When using the cottage and occupying the villa with 9 bedrooms and 15-18 people, the following prices per week apply:

The price includes a cleaning service 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For stays of more than a week also on Saturdays.

Air conditioning - hot and cold air - is included in the price.

In winter, the air conditioning will probably not be sufficient for heating. In this case, an additional oil-based heating system is available. Costs for the use of the oil based heating are calculated according to consumption and are to be paid by the customer.

Deposit: 1000 euros, to be paid in cash on arrival. Refundable.

Tourist tax: 1 euro/person/day for the first 7 days for people starting from the age of 14 years and older.
